organic red peppercorns

Pink Peppercorn Brought to California by Spanish settlers to use as a substitute for pepper. The Peruvian pepper, also known as American Pepper, is a native of the Peruvian Andes. Although referred to as a pepper, Peruvian Peppercorn is not related to true pepper. The Inca used the sweet outer part of the fruit to make a drink. Today, herbalists use the pepper tree to treat colds, flu and respiratory infections.
