Cayenne is a spicy pepper, related to bell peppers and jalapenos, it is also known as the Guinea Spice, Cow-Horn Pepper, Aleva and Bird Pepper. More commonly used in powder or flake form but is commonly used whole in Asian dishes. Relatively high in Vitamin A, also contains Vitamin B6, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, riboflavin, potassium and magnesium. Also contains capsaicin which increases blood flow. A wonderful pepper to use for anyone who enjoys spicey foods.
